Favorite Wedding Videos

I am such a sucker for anything wedding related or people in love! Maybe that is why I became a wedding photographer!

One of my favorite things to watch are wedding videos. I cry every time but they are just so wonderful. I can’t be the crazy one and there are other girls out there too right?

So today I am sharing some of my all time favorites! You will need some tissues for sure:)

This first one I have watched so many times and I think it is my favorite!! Their vows are so perfect and the obviously love the Lord so much! This is an example of a Christ centered wedding!

Amanda + Jacob | Feature from Paperback Films on Vimeo.

Here is a big tear jerker! The beginning is weird though. The first time I watched this with my friend we just skipped it because we were freaked out by the beginning haha but then we saw it posted so much we wondered what we were missing. They are so in love and it totally shows! Just stick through the weird parts:)

dead hearts: The Wedding of Victoria and Jason Evigan from Lightfield Lewis on Vimeo.

Another example of a beautiful Christ centered wedding. Love this!

This one had me in tears right in the start!!

Ok I could post tons more but here are two more great ones!

Gene + Jill // Two Pease in a Pod from capture studios on Vimeo.

So now you may have spent your whole morning watching those. Have a favorite? Let me know! Happy Friday:)

and since I am in a sappy mood I had to post this from Big Fish:)

I have said that I have gotten to second shoot with some amazing people this year! Kathleen is one of them. We went to the same church a few years ago but never really talked before until now! She is an amazing photographer and I love her work! We had a lot of fun at the wedding together and I learned so much from her as well! It was a great experience and what a great wedding too. This is a beautiful couple and I love that I got to be apart of their day!

Jake and Brittany ::: Elgin, Illinois Wedding Photographer

On their wedding day, Brittany was one of the calmest and low stress brides I have seen.

She just wanted to marry Jake.

And on a beautiful fall day, they did just that.

I am so honored to be apart of their big day! If you would have told me in our 4H days that I would be shooting Brittany’s wedding I would have laughed!

I love that after all of these years I get to be with them on one of the most important days of their life. Enjoy this beautiful wedding!

Want to see more? Jake and Brittany’s entire wedding is on this website:)

Tennessee Love

I am at a loss for words for how to even start describing this trip.
It was time away to think, to pray, to relax, to bond with each other.
It was a vacation filled with so many laughs, a few tears, and heck even a bear scare.
5 days in the mountains with two of my best friends as well as my second family.
There were so many memories made throughout those days.
From deep talks in the hot tub every night, to the first time we sat in awe of the mountains, to me laughing at papa bear at everything he said. It was SUCH a good trip.
Patrick summed it up as he prayed on the last night that there was no one else he would rather spend this trip with. I smiled and had to agree.

I often felt bad that I was constantly taking pictures. But then I come home and look through them all and I realize how great it is that I kept snapping. There were little things from the trip I had forgotten about but now have saved in pictures.
As I get back into the busyness and craziness of life, I don’t want to forget all that happened just last week. And I will look through these pictures to remember those times…

The time I went on a trip with two people crazy about each other and how they show it in small ways.

The times I had my quiet time on the porch where the loudest noise was a leaf falling off a tree.

The time we went shopping and this dude acted like the real southern deal until Kyle caught him with his guard down and he doesn’t have an accent…

The time we went to the store that has salsa to light your mouth on fire.

That time Pat took a chunk of death by salsa and wanted to die. Such a hilarious moment.

That time they got fake engaged and then bought the most expensive bag of Jelly Beans ever.

That time we went into the gorgeous mountains. Look how small that road is.

The time we literally drove in the clouds.

The time when we ate Sweet Frog basically every night.

That time that Mama Bear and Papa Bear were the cutest ever. That is our nicknames for them <3

The time Jess and I chased a sunset and ran up a hill.

The time we rode in a Tram up in the mountains and I was freaking out but survived.

The time we hiked up a mountain and got these shots. So hard but so worth it.

The time I taught Pat and Arielle to be photographers and  they shot me.

The time a bear tried to kill me. I won’t forget that time. (These pictures are super zoomed in, next time I will have to bring a telephoto lens!)

That time Mama Bear and Papa Bear invited me on their family vacation. So grateful for them.

Arielle captured so many moments from her Ipod that I just had to share:)

2nd Shooter for Lauren Wakefield

When I got an email from Lauren asking if I wanted to 2nd shoot for her I was so honored she asked me and a little shocked actually! Every time I have been with Lauren I have been a hot mess. I met her through a photographer meet up (through Showit my website provider). The first time we met was in Chicago at her house. Now I had been to the city by myself but was sure I could handle it no problem. Wrong. I showed up at her house sweaty, confused, and freaking out that I was about to be murdered. Great first impression:)But at the wedding I told Lauren that she seriously challenges me to go out of my comfort zone. Whether it is going to the city by myself, traveling to La Grange and not getting lost, it is good for me. She joked that up next would be for me to drive to the city. We will see about that! Lauren was so great to work with at Alex and Catherine’s wedding and I learned a ton from her! It is so fun being able to 2nd shoot for some amazing photographers! The wedding was also gorgeous and the bride and groom were an awesome couple!

Be sure to check out Lauren’s work!!
