Abi & Tim

If you are a Gilmore Girls fanatic like me you will remember the episode it snows.

Lorelai walks around the town in amazement of the snow and talks about how magical it is.

How everything is pretty when it snows.

She is right. Now add a little love story to that and it really is magical.

Ok my romantic side is coming out but can you blame me? Just look at these two!

I am in love with this shoot and these two. The outfits, her red hair and smile, the way he looks at her as the snow falls around them.

They are so at ease with each other and so in love.

He is the rockstar and she is the photographer and supporter of him.

I am so glad I got to meet these two and I am excited for their future together. Now bring out your romantic side and check out these pictures.

Connolly Family :: Winter 2012

One of my favorite things a client can say to me is..
You made my mom cry!!
I realize that makes me sound like a crazy person but let me explain.
If I can make a mom cry with a picture of her kids, it means I have done my job right. To be able to evoke that emotion means I have capture their family and who they are and now the pictures are a keepsake of that.
This shoots was one of those and I can proudly say I made their mom cry.
This is my sweet friend Steph and her siblings! They wanted to surprise their mom for Christmas and I just love that!

:: The Diaz Family ::

Meet the Diaz Family.
I have just recently gotten to know them and I am so blessed to have them in my life!
Let me tell you a little somethin about this beautiful family.
These guys have their priorities straight and have God at the center of their lives. Everything about them, the way they run their family, the way they live, just points back to Jesus.Tito is the high school pastor at Christ Community and has such a passion for ministry and his students. The way they live their lives to glorify God is so challenging and something I admire greatly.
They are some of the most loving, open people I have ever met. Even after this shoot I didn’t even know them and they invited me out for dinner and to hang out. It blows my mind how they just want to love and serve people.

They welcome me into their house all the time. Just last night I was sitting on their couch drinking homemade peppermint hot cocoa and watching them decorate the house. I love going over there because I always leave happy and feel so loved by everyone!
I could say so much more but just know that if you ever have a chance to meet you, you will be blessed by them.
I was honored to shoot their family photos and I had a hard time narrowing it down for this blogpost! We had a blast in St Charles running around before the sun went down:)

Noah Senior Pictures :: Second Shooting for Jan Nohling

This blog has seen plenty of pictures of this kid.
He is my younger brother and I can’t believe he is growing up!
He is now a senior in high school.. Yikes! So you can imagine having a mother and sister as photographers that he will have many senior pictures.
My mom is doing his shoots in installments and I am her so called second shooter. Normally that is a wedding thing but since we are family I am happy to help.
I also get a few images of my own of him and here they are! Love him so much and gosh he hates it when I say this but he is just so cute:)

Smallgroup Shoutout

A few months ago I made the big decision of switching churches. It was a quiet move; I didn’t tell the whole world just the people closest to me. I didn’t want to make a big deal out of it. There wasn’t a big fall out or anything at all, I just felt like the Lord was calling me to another church and I followed that calling.
So here I was in this new place only knowing a few people. I had been going to the same church my whole life and practically knew everyone there. But now everything changed and I didn’t know really anyone! I knew I had to get involved so I joined the 20’s ministry there. After a few weeks, they were going to split into smallgroups for the next few months. I was terrified to be honest. I had to pick a group based on what night I was free and Thursday nights were the only one that worked. Problem was my friends were all in a Sunday night group. As I was driving the first night, I almost turned around and didn’t go. Meeting new people isn’t something that comes easy for this shy girl and meeting 10 new people at once freaked me out!( I know I am weird)
But as He always does God showed up and rocked my socks off.
The second I met my group I fell in love. They were all SO nice and at the end of thr first night I knew this was going to be good.
Fast forward a few months and I cannot imagine NOT having my smallgroup in my life. They have become some of my best friends and I am ridiculously thankful for them. I now have a community of sisters who love and accept me. We are able to pray together, get in the Word together and encourage each other to live this crazy life out for Jesus. I could cry because God is so good and so faithful. Just looking back on that first night when I was so nervous about these new people to now having Thursday nights being my favorite night because I get to see them. I am so glad I kept pushing through and got involved. I am no longer just a face at this new church and I am so excited for my future there. And if you are one of my group girls reading this, seriously thank you. I love you all and you have no idea what you mean to me!

Here are a few pictures from the other night. Aren’t we cute and matchy haha
