Ethan & Amy

I love photographing these two so much!! If they look familiar I shot their wedding last year and was so excited when she asked me to do family pictures for them. Since getting married they have added a new member: Hondo!! Ethan and Amy have been through a lot with Ethan being in the military but they are so strong as a couple. My sunshine pt 1

“You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy when skies are gray
You’ll never know dear, how much I love you
Please don’t take my sunshine away”

I have belted out this song a bazillion times in the past 2 years. And every time I sing it I can’t help but smile. It is sorta the theme song for my residents and they sing it alllll the time! but I love it! Just like I love them.

These people really are my sunshine.

They have taught me to love until it hurts.

They have taught me to rely on the Lord for everything, especially patience.

We have dance parties every day.

They tell me how beautiful I am. ( I can get used to that haha)

They call me the crazy camera girl.

I tell corny jokes and crack up while they sit there telling me the jokes aren’t funny.

I make funny faces and laughter is heard all around.

I listen to love stories that have lasted 60 years.

There is never a shortage of hugs and kisses.

There is never a day without laughter or love.

Fall Friends Pt. 1

I love doing best friend sessions. They are so fun and full of laughter and how cool is it to have awesome pictures as a memory? Today I have for you best friends/roomates who are the best!! I have known Elizabeth since high school and then through church and Elizabeth got to know Katie and just recently I met Kate and Aubree! We a had a blast at this session and the laughter was non-stop. Avoid false hope and pride

Hey everyone:)picked up a great book called Imitation of Christ by Thomas Kempis and it is phenomenal!! I was reading it at the Dr. office today and had to stop myself from yelling amen outl0ud cuz there is so much hard hitting stuff in it! So I thought on this lovely Thurday I would share a bit of it from you! Hope it challenges you!

 

” Vain is the man who puts his trust in men, in created thing.

Do not be ashamed to serve others for the love of Jesus Christ and to seem poor in this world. Do not be self -sufficient but place your trust in God. Do what lies in your power and God will aid your good will. Put no trust in your own learning or in the cunning of any man but rather in the grace of God who helps the humble and humbles the proud.

If you have wealth, do not glory in it, nor in friends because they are powerful, but in God who gives all things and who desires above all to give Himself. Do not boast of personal stature or of physical beauty qualities which are marred and destroyed by a little sickness. Do not take pride in your talent of abiblity, lest you displease God to whom belongs all the natural gifts that you have.

Do not think yourself better than others lest , perhaps, you be accounted worse before God who knows that is in man. Do not take pride in your good deeds, for God’s judgments differ from those of men and what pleases them often displeases Him. If there is good in you, see more good in others so that you may remain humble. It does no harm to esteem yourself less than anyone else, but it is very harmful to think yourself better than even one. The humble live in continuous peace while the hearts of the proud are envy and frequent anger”
